follow up on my tranny problem.i dropped the tranny pan and changed the filter/fluid and done my solenoid job.This is what i found:inside the pan was alotta grey sludge,small metal shavings and some small flakes from what i assumed was the woven lining of the torque converter.The filter was slammed stopped up and led to the pump whine.i replaced filter then persued my next task:i removed the side cover and tranny pump to find a few small pieces of metal in the valve body i cleaned it and replaced the EPC solenoid.So,I cleaned the 2 shift solenoids and the TCC solenoid being i was given the wrong parts.Previously the car would only move a few feet and stop with a whine.Now,it drives/shifts out.My problems are:While driving from 2nd to 4th the rpm's are around 3 grand before shifting hard into OD at 45mph.and i get a jerk/shutter around that range.What type trannys interchange?and even if i have to replace a side cover PCM will other yrs. work?will a can of Seafoam do wonders for awhile?
