fob serial #....how to turn off the alarm without fob?

My searches didn't yield anything useful so i'll keep it simple. Does anyone have a link to the acceptable fob numbers for a 97gtp? the 1 that came with the car doesn't work and I'm not sure of how to shut off the alarm if it goes off in the grocery parking lot. our 08 Yukon has a chime when u power lock the doors and shut them, 10 sec later the doors actually lock and the alarm sets. same here. I've been leaving it unlocked and storing stuff in the truck as a hope not measure/may be interested if someone has 1 left after the sale of a car ;)
 


it wont go off unless you can turn it on, clearly the fob dont work, so lock your doors, and use the key to get back in.

then buy new fobs off ebay.
 
Also, a possible problem with the fob is the battery terminal broke off the circuit board inside. This happens when the battery in the fob starts to die and idiots smash the crap out of the buttons when the car won't unlock. Pop it open, resolder the battery holder, get new battery.
 
don't get me wrong, but does you 97 even have the alarm option? I know it normally has the AU0 cod for fob. I would double check your RPO code sir
 


ya its an alarm car, and it turns out the fob I have is off e-bay and hasn't been programmed yet, what might be the key words for that sticky, the search forum tool and I are still getting acquainted.... I know I saw it somewhere
