• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Flow in Bends - Think Exhaust, Intake, etc.

Really! Ive already got solutions swirling around in my head. One of these days Im going to have the resources to act on all these ideas.

Well, I dont think the MAF screen serves quite the same purpose since theres no bend there and it is not vaned. However, it does pose the question if vanes just inside the TB would not help out MAF readings. If so, you would not only get the accurate reading the MAF Screen offers without the restrictions that the screen presents.

Unfortunately I know of no reliable way in which to prove that theory outside of some method using smoke or something like that to be able to visually see the air flow.

Oh there are bends and other obstructions to create turbulance especially on a stock system. This is why without a screen the approach to the MAF needs to be a conpletely smooth straight shot of duct 2x the diameter of the duct.:)
