Fixing leaking corner lights, through lamps.

I bought some eBay special headlights, and thought one of them was leaking into the corner lights. Well, after buying another pair of corners from someone on hear, the same corner is leaking. This leads me to believe it's not the corner piece but its coming in through the amber corner light. How can I seal this? Can the rubber gasket be replaced? Someone suggested vasoline between the gasket and plastic. What is the easiest way to dry out the lamp before sealing it up?

a hair dryer. i actually just fixed my black headlights this past weekend! i used black silicone along the outside of where the lense meets the headlight. worked 4 me!

Water goes down the shelf between the hood and fender and lands right on top of the bulb opening. Go to a salvage yard and get a gasket that goes around the bulb socket. One from any GM car should work

That's what I thought. When I opened up the hood and removed the offending bulb, I watched a drip from the bad gasket leak right in. I've got a few things to order from Ed Morad, so maybe he's got one or two he can throw in.

Yep, those are the two most common problem places. Silicone around the headlight and good gaskets.

Since the same corner light started leaking after replacing both, I'm guessing it's the gasket and not the light.
