• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

fighting lean issues.

ok so last week or so i installed my aem a/f wideband. at idle in park the car sits about 14.8-15.9 sometimes goes to 16-17. but usually moves between the 14-15 back and fourth alot. i put it in drive and it sits about 15-17. 1/4 throttle i cant get it above 14.. iv checked the vac lines to make sure i dont have a leak somewhere everything was good. Then i got a maf sensor low circut code. so i checked all the wires found nothing wrong. ended up paying 150 bucks for a new maf today and still no change. the code went away but im still seeing the lean issues. im running out of ideas of what to do or check next!

Are your sure the car was in closed loop?
Was the engine fully warmed up?
What does it read when your driving along?
Is there a drivability problem?

yes fully warm closed loop i have no idea how to check i only use the aem wideband and a aeroforce. no drivabilty problems. doesnt stutter or stall. it stays in the 15-16 when crusing drops to 17 when i let off.

I don't really see a problem. New cars are desiged to run lean. Dodge even marketed it in the 70-80's called "leanburn system".
If your go out on the interstate and drive consistant speed, you will probably see it start to run leaner for a bit from time to time.

i see constant low 15's to 17 driving constantly. at wot i dont know. havnt gottn a tune yet and with it being 105* out i have some kr issues. only time i see it in the 14's is the first 10 seconds on a start up it sits at 14.2 then goes to 16-17

its SUPPOSED to run lean when youre cruising. how do you think you get good gas mileage? go WOT and i bet you a billion dollars it at least dips into the low 12s.
