Few questions on top swap

I'm looking into doing a top swap to my 08. I have been planning this for awhile now and really looking forward to it. But then I read on another forum that I can't do the swap because the can bus system will not allow it. That pisses me off to say the least. Can anyone she'd sum light on this and hopefully have good news. Maybe someone here has done this swap on a 08. Thanks gang

2008 is a year only computer that no tuning software supports. There is no way to tune/alter the calibration to run with boost.

Being a year only full CAN-BUS wiring system means you also can't just plop an older computer in the car and make it work. Nothing would work if you did.

I almost bought an 08 until I found out the same thing. now I have a Grand Prix GXP

Now that a sc is out of the question anything else I can do?? Would a turbo work? Gm and their bright ideas......

being your na, no.

did 08 have a sc option? maybe you can simply use sc pcm? then headers rockers maybe a 3.6 pulley. with out a tune.

there are options but no turbo or supercharger. without being able to tune the vehicle it's really not worth modding.
