fbody upgrade making noise

Ok so on day 5 of this upgrade have fbody calipers hawk 5.0 pads and drilled slotted R1 concepts rotors. Getting a repetitious squeak noise while in drive not braking and son louder rubbing type noises on turns. Any ideas retaining clips? Grease? Bearings? How can I fix this?

20bucks it's the pad retaining clips, or the ball joint dust cover hitting rotor..you can bend that back without even taking wheel off..

Retaining clips happens a lot. You'll need to take wheel, rotor off and take a look. See rub or wear marks on edge of clip nearest rotor. Look everything over good at each stage of disassembly.

If its the clip how do I fix that?

Reshape it so it doesn't hit the rotor. Make it snug in the bracket.
Check both sides for clearance after you put the pads back in, then slide the caliper over.

Sucks yes, but taking the pads out is about the only way to be sure.

That dust shield can just be bent back a little , or cut right off. If its a hardware issue I recommend Carlson hardware, they are far superior to anything you get with the pads and really work well in taking away noise as they are coated. They car be found on Rockauto, although you probably have to buy for what the brakes came on .

at what point will you jack the car up and spin the wheel? listen for the sounds....... look at the rotor for the rub mark......come on, get with it.
