Whats your favorite beer? Maby not your all time favorite beer, but one that you have been calling #1 for the past year. Asking what you favorite beer is like asking whats your favorite movie as it may change year to year.

At the moment my favorite beer would have to be Full Moon. Some ppl may not get it but I think its a dank dark beer. In the winter I do prefer a dark beer.

That's funny Jess I LOVE Jack daniel's down home punch lol. I go for more liquor than anything now i love my Jack and coke or Sailor Jerry's (cherry flavored rum, doubt anyone's heard of it) and coke but if i had to pick a beer i'd say coor's light :)

Hahaha yeah you can drink that stuff like Koolaid! They used to sell it around here in 1 gallon bottles but havent seen it like that for a number of years though they still sell the 6 packs of bottles. We went to the Jack Daniels distillery about 5 years ago and they some pretty large and unique bottles on display there, included a full 3 or 3.5 liter bottle! It was huge!

Anyways back to beers....Freebeer you are right with having different favorites now and then! I have been an MGD lover since 99ish. I drank Bud Light and Bud Ice for a while but my father-in-law good me hooked on the flavor of MGD. Last summer I was looking for something different to try and at one of our local liquor stores the owner suggested something called Little Kings. I have never seen them local but they have been around for years. They are 7oz bottles and you can kill a lot of them fast and go great when its hot outside as they stay cold since they are so small. My favorite seasonal beer is hand down Sam Adams Octoberfest. Also the past few years during summer I have been buying Lieninkugel Summer Shandy which is a Lemenade type beer and is very unique in flavor and also a good hot day drinking beer. Miller Chill is also another fav of mine though I havent had one in a while. The past year or two I have tried probably over a hundred different types of beer and they all of ups and downs, but the absolute WORST few that I have tried were definately Sam Adams "Cranberry" and there was a OFallon Smoke beer that was aweful. I do recommend to anyone in the Michigan area to check out Big Buck Brewery and Steakhouse. They have their own microbrews and are excellent!

That would be John Valby who does "The Beer Poem".

Back to the original post.....Yeungling Lager

Favorite beer depends a lot on what I'm doing and/or eating, current mood, etc. My normal drinking beers at the pub rotate between Guinness, Murphy's, Boddington's, and Coast Kolsch, with other beers thrown in the mix as my mood dictates. Most of the places I frequent have a large beer selection, and I like to experiment.

A local restaurant does "Tuesday night beer flights." You get four 6 oz beers with a selection of food pairings. It's a great way to discover new beers.

Here are some of my favorites:
Anything by Coast Brewing, a local Charleston brewery. Their Kolsch is a good all-around beer, and the Blackbeerd Imperial Stout is excellent.

Smuttynose Old Brown Dog. I currently have some of their Winter Ale, which is also excellent.

Abita Turbodog.

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

Lastly, nothing beats a good homebrew.:th_beer-cheers:

X's 2 on the Yuengling..

My husband loves dr Dirty..Ive seen a few of his shows, pretty funny stuff
