Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Wheels, Drop, & Tint soon to come

ntreftz

Too broken to be broke $$
Bought her on October 15th, 2012. I was looking for a Durango or an other SUV my 97 s-10 blazer<Frankenstein> got stolen in April that same year so I was depressed and wanted to get another larger SUV. I spotted the "gem" at a used lot I bought my GF's Saturn at and I just had to take it for a spin. I fell in love immediately. At 2:00 I asked him how much and since I knew him and he went to school with my father he said he would give it up for 2,200 way under KBB. Not thinking anything about him being a typical used car dealer, at 2:30 I slammed the cash on his desk and said where's the keys. Drove it home and washed n waxed her up, then parked it. Took my GF to dinner and when we got back at about 5:00 I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride in the new<called "bat-mobile" then, her idea.> Drove around the town for about 20 and out of nowhere the Trans went to neutral and would not budge. I shut the car off and popped the hood and checked the trans fluid. all fluids where checked by me at the lot and it was at the same level I left the lot at. So I was like WTF, why did this SOB die after owning it for 3 hours??? Turned out that the torque converter had died along time ago and the trans filter was eating the remains, starving the trans of fluid killing it. Since it was already five finger F(_)kd, I figure I'm not getting my new car towed I put it in neutral and started it. I put it in gear and I held for one shift then went to neutral, shut the car off out of gear then started it dropped in 2nd gear and held it the whole way home, every time it didn't shift I'd shut it off as start it, slam a gear and go.
Went to the dealer the next day with an a$$ load of paperwork about the "Consumer Protection Act." Basically saying he's going to fix it, gimme my money back, or get the a$$ whooping of his life. After my GF keeping me from tearing him a new one he decided that Fixing it before I fix him was a GREAT idea on his part. 3 weeks at the shop and I get Her back.... To BE continued

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

"Fat N Sassy" - CONTINUED

I received the car back 3 weeks later after the dealer tried to get me to shell out the $1200 for the trans, I gave the fella $200 and drove it home, never to pay the rest as I flip them off as I leave.
soon after I found out exactly what I paid for... trans work only. when I got home I checked everything out and found a torn boot on the CV, 5 sensors unplugged, 1 loose motor mount, dog bones loose from the radiator support, and the driver side dog bone mount on the block loose. So I think I got my money's worth...

The first axle went out in April of this year, and I replaced the next in august. it wen out again this October>>> on the way in tomorrow.

in august I put a new open cone Intake(home depot special + spectre)

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

sounds like you went through hell with this car man. subbed for moar cant wait to see what happens with her!

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

Sounds like you bought a straight up piece of ****. Hopefully the new owner starts to breathe life back in it.

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

thanks for the subs guys. hopefully it won't be any more eventful like the first month I had it

so put the new axle in on Saturday, its a lot heftier than the old ac delco axle but it might still kill the boot like the previous ones.
I have a lot of respect for the crap you guys deal with on your Pontiacs so if all of you hadn't gone through it and wanted to fix these thing I wouldn't have any inspiration to keep doing it other than my insanity of thinking not all gtp's are turds jk

now it seem to have developed a new exhaust manifold gasket leak, or should I say hopefully that's all being its only 6.99 to fix whenever it gets here.
purchased a scanner from amazon that wont get here until thanksgiving wtf? why does amazon take a month to ship? I mean it was cheaper than ebay but 27 days of shipping??

Why not just get some SD's? They are less than $200 on ebay last I checked.

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

well, my Fiancé passed away on labor day and I have about $1200 in bills every month not counting fuel and food I only make $1,212 a month so unless I can get someone to buy the wheels I have from doing someone's breaks I can afford it

Re: Fat N' Sassy <98 GTP> Great Toilet Paper, 'cause she sh!ts all Day

I'm sorry for your loss. I have been with my current gf for two years and idk what I would do without her.
