My 05 GTP is equipped with a factory remote start. Since installing ZZP PCM, I have an odd occurrence with it. There are NO codes. NO security indicators. NO faulty sensors (hood/door/etc). With a fresh battery disconnect, the remote start will work perfectly.... 3 times. After that, nada. I don't mean that it hits is 2-tries/starts limit before having to manually start for a reset. I mean 3 starts... period. Even if I put the key in and manually start the car 100 times in between remote start attempts.
After 3 remote starts, the subsequent failures happen with the following characteristics: The remote start signal is received. Certain ignition circuits turn on. The fuel pump turns on and primes/pressurizes. But, the starter NEVER engages... does not spin... nada. zip. zilch.
If I disconnect the battery for 15-20 minutes, then reconnect. The remote start works like a champ again... for 3 more starts. Then, the pattern is repeated.
Another potentially security/BCM related issues is that I will also get random "LOCKED" and "CALIBRATE" errors on my head unit at startup. They usually flash on screen, then go away within a second or two, with the worst effect being that I have to press the power button (yes, even if it has flashed "LOCKED," it will power off and back on fine.). This is a very random, but frequent occurrence--a few times a week. It may do it 5 times in a day. It may not do it at all for 3-4 days. Sometimes, but by far in the minority, it will stay in LOCKED mode, but will come back and work fine after turning the ignition off and back on.
Any ideas?
