Hey guys im new here an u guys have lots of good info an im sure someone on here has the answer im looking for
so lets start with my question i have a an 01 gp gt that when placed into gear bogs down to the point where i cant get it to go over 25 mph i had it on jack stands an it did basically the same thing i have changed crank an cam sensor pvc valve cleaned maf changed fuel an air filters and ran it with the cat off just for good measure it had started seeming to lose some power a month ago an started doing the zero out on the rpms an occasionally at about 45 mph I would feel it jerk also changed trans fluid filter an checked fuel pressure is at 45 on idle an rises when placed into gear if anyone has any info would be so greatly appreciated im going bonkers on this on

sorry for the rambling you guys are awesome

i suppose it revs poorly all the time now it was reving with no hesitation but not anymore it starts right up an idles fine even if i start throttling it in park it sounds like its sucking air an just runs like garbage while in gear

It started with the camshaft sensor code an knock sensor fixed cam sen then went to crank after I replaced crank sen it became basically un drivable also it did say missfire 1-4 at first but as of now no codes no lights nothing an i don't have the funds to send it to a garage to parts change for me

No tune up beside what was said i am planning on changing plugs probably tonight or tomorrow night just as another to cross off the list as well as being about do also hadn't mentioned but it has 115000 on it

you could have a bad coil, or icm with the misfire code.

that cam /crank to icm harness is also known to go bad. mine was all torn up, bare wire showing even.

you got the crank sensor tq'ed right? its 13 inch pounds iirc.

with only 115,000 on it its likely never had a tune up, change the plug wires too, get iridium plugs, GAP TO 0.60. NO PLATS. CAR WILL HATE THEM.

I actually swapped the coilpack from another motor an nothing changed i did not tighten to 13 inch pounds though i had just snugged it

I will have to check the harness when i get home obviously it connects cam crank but where to from there i am not positive where the icm is located

iirc it leads tot he large square plug near the coil bracket in the lim, it also has a ground wire near the coil bracket where its bolted down.

the harness tends to fail where it splits and where its tucked in under the water pump.

this was how mine looked when i took it out. if you zoom in, you can see all the wires are chewed up looking.
