Exhaust (turbo) smoking, smells like oil...

Hey guys, about a month or so ago I drove about 2 weeks with a major leak in my IC piping. I was easy on the car but I think I may have screwed up/overspun my turbo. Now, my boost controller is hardly raising my boost levels and I have smoke from the exhaust. It's not huge but enough its noticeable. It only happens every now and then (I haven't seen a pattern yet), primarily at idle, and low level acceleration (IE. taking off from stop light). Is there a way I can verify its the turbo? I assume oil consumption but I haven't noticed a huge difference there.
Also, is that screwing up my WB/O2 sensors? Would an oil restrictor inline help? Lastly, who is a reputable turbo rebuilder. Its the Stattama T67 turbo.

TIA,
Slim

You can pull the air filter off of the turbo and check for shaft play. Typically this is a worn turbo bushing kinda thing. GMR Badass (Greg) knows of a good turbo place, so it might be worth it to shoot him a PM.

Stattama turbo is a Precision turbo with a Garret cold side cover on it......

Downfall of the typical turbo out there is that they don't normally come with the upgraded step-gap oil piston ring. On a good note, the Stattama turbo comes with a 360 thrust bearing which is a nice upgrage.

To the OP...sent you a PM. It's a $12 part to fix it and then you can have it sent off to be rebalanced for $60 if you are looking for a quick and easy reprair.
