exhaust tip modifications?

anyone have any tips on painting or replacing the exhaust tips. i would like to bring in that chrome look... wasnt sure if i can just paint them..
 


just sand down the outside edge of them. dont clear coat it, dont polish it, just sand it. if you wipe them down every so often they will stay relatively clean and set them off very nicely for them being stock. best part: its free.
 
just make sure like bio said you pay a little attn to them and wipe them down.... they look poor as shiz if you dont half black half chromish... ahha
