Yes, i read the sticky. My exhaust is rusting out and I want to replace it with a higher volume piping. I saw the god awful u bend, I'm going to bypass it but my question is, what size is the stock piping? Should I replace the resonator with a glasspack? Should I reuse the factory muffler or go with something different? I'm trying to pick up a little horsepower here without breaking my wallet. I'm going to take my car to an exhaust shop. I have a 1998 GTP 184K
 


you wont gain any real horsepower, maybe 5ish, just better flow because theres less restrictions now..

the stock piping is 2.25 then 1 and 7/8 as it splits at the Y to the mufflers.

I would keep the stock mufflers.

get rid of the u bend and put a glasspack for the res, and stay with the 2.25 size to save yourself the money, 3in is overrated and un-needed.
