Exhaust Cutout on a GTP? Lose torque?

Would i lose torque having an electric exhaust cutout on my GTP?
it has 3.4 Pulley, intake exhaust tune etc.
just curious im not necessarily gonna get one or anything but i just kinda wanted to know. obviously on a N/A setup ud lose torque (lets say a GP GT)

Usually i kno guys use em with turbo setups but how would it effect everything with the stock supercharger setup?

Wait you can lay down power between 0/5 mph and 30 mph?

But as for being useful, even turbo guys don't get much from it.

If you are doing a mod, it's best to have a reason behind doing it. Sounds like you might be doing this just because you can.

A cutout is for someone with a high flowing engine that needs to remove the majority of the exhaust because it's a restriction, but only at certain times. I had one...and it took a long list of mods to get to the point where I outflowed my stock exhaust.

Turbo setups benefit a lot from a cutout or free flowing exhaust, helps spool time as well. It can be anywhere from 10whp to 50whp gains with a cutout. Some guys just run a muffler that fits and that dumps before the gas tank.

On the lower side of your estimate, it just isn't very significant.

The noise volume is quite excessive for the gains.

I can see it being of value with a higher horsepower build though.

I drove around briefly with no exhaust after the goose neck on my speed daddys. Hilarilously sad. Sounded like ass at 200db.

Suffice to say if you don't need slicks then you don't need a cutout?

I have to admitt, my cam sounded great with open exhaust at idle!!!! Now that its getting tuned and the exhaust is back, not as exciting! LOL

at the time stock M90, 3.2 pulley, e85, plog, 3" DP, intake, 1.9 rockers.

mine was a DMH e-cutout in the DP before the cat.
