Okay now that i have purchased everything for my top swap and im just wait for it to come in I'm curious how much power i should be looking at
I will have the following mods:
Top swap
Gtp injectors
90 valve spring and retainers
Hot air intake
180 t stat
Copper autolite 104 plugs
Poly motor mounts
Obx headers
1 3/8 inch radiator
1.9 rockers
And eventually a 3.4 pulley
 


And i hope you have some tune somewhere and just forgot to list it. or you won't even get it started.
 


but it will drive to the dyno ok.

swap the pulley at the shop, or drive it belt off if the 3.4 is on, then dyno that puppy.

i just cant see spending the money on a crappy zzp canned tune if its going to a tuner. total waste of money.


and why wait a 1000 miles? your engine dont know whats going on. its made of metal, not feelings lol
 


and i'm pretty sure he's right. There really isn't a need for a 1000 mile break in period on a top swap. It's a nice thought to be safe, maybe just take it easy for the first week or so. You're not replacing piston rings or a head gasket or anything that needs to seal up and make sure it's nice and ready before pounding it. just a lim and adding a supercharger. it will be good as soon as you leave the driveway.


also get a hi-flow cat or get rid of it all together if you can emissions wise. that'll help your whole setup.
 
You are wanting to run a similar setup to what I run. I run an L36 with SD headers, 3.4" pulley, 180* tstat. And my car pulls good.
 
Fair enough I'll probably just pulley drop after the first week or 2 but I'm getting the zzp tune because i already have one so ill just get an update and its cheap and won't be able to dyno right away
