Epoxy coating on supercharger rotors

I decided to clean the oil off of them with a steel wool brush to a fancy blue polish. I believe I scraped off most of the coating. How safe is it to toss it back in without adding a new coat?

They are junk. You can't just add a coat. You would have to send them out and have them recoated. Buy some used ones. You could put it back in, but I would hardly make any boost.
