i just purchased a complete 3800 sc from a 06 grand prix, putting in a 05 montee\ carlo do i need the 06 pcm or can i use my 05 i will be useing the 05 tb not the drive by wire on what elae will i need to change Thanks

you need the montie pcm tuned to run the sc engine. unless it came with a l67.

and you need a tb adapter to run your old tb. and might have to change any sensors that dont plug in as they should.

if it was a l67, you dont need a tune then. cant hurt, but you dont need it.

you'll need to use most of the sensors off the top of the l67. map, evap, and the old fuel rail.

You can actually use the new evap if you'd like. Just remove some loom and black tape to bring the evap wiring behind the TB on the charger where the new evap is located. The map sensors are simply a different plug and the connectors can be swapped over as the wiring is all the same color, match each color wire and they will swap right on as well.
