Engine swap to v8

Well I got a 99 gp 3.8 n/a and my buddy has an 06 impala ss front wheel drive. He's got 5.3 liter v8 and I read that everything is based on the grand prix is it possible to swap it over???

Its possible but expect a lot of work. The gain wont really be worth it since you can top swap much cheaper and make greater gains. It would be something different to have a 5.3 in a 97-03 car but not really worth it.

i hate to say it, as a gxp owner, but you'll a quicker car for less money and hassle if you just turbo your current motor. it would however be pretty cool to do the swap.

f3 is right, for the cost and time and hassle of doing a V8 swap, it is not worth it. The LS4 are nice engines, but don't put down that much. If you want power, do an L32 swap and do some mods. But by time you do that, just put a turbo on your current ride. That will be the best bang for the buck. Then if you want to go all out, make it rear wheel drive.
