engine sounds terrible



Yeah sounds kinda like an exhaust leak. Check after the cat, if it was before the cat your cel would come on and you would get p0420 most likely, check the res and mufflers they might be rotted out.
 
I haven't been able to check out underneath yet but I did get a CEL and it is P1441 (EVAP system flow during non-purge). Would that be it?
