OK, so recently i replaced the lower and upper intake gasket as well as all 12 lifter. Just finished buttoning everything up today, got the oil changed and primed everything. I reconnected the ignition module and hit the key. This thing is running like CRAP. Its heaving around and shooting black smoke out the tail pipe. Idles at about 2500 also. Checked for vacuum leaks, none that i can tell, also triple checked all connections and everything is good. Scanned the pcm and im throwing 3 codes. P0101, P0118, P0123. Any help would be greatly apprecieatied.
 


Sounds to me like you might have switched around a couple plugs on the throttle body...118 is the coolant temp sensor...might have have gone bad. Cheap and easy fix last I checked IIRC.

P0101 is the MAF...unplug it and see if it gets any better...if it does then that could be the issue. 123 is the TPS...causes high idling when gone bad...again...make sure you have the right connectors to the right sensors in the TB...a faulty TPS will make your car idle high.
