Engine Noise?

I just recently installed a short ram air intake on my grand prix gt. and now when my engine is cold and i start the engine up it makes a real loud like rushing sound. I opened my hood and i put my ear to the air filter and it sounds like it coming from the intake. its a loud sound but it goes away once the engine gets war. just wanted to knoq why it makes the noise and if there is any way i can reduce or stop it.
 


I noticed mine got louder after gutting the stock box(as well as any other noises like engine noise) As far as I know, thats the IAC valve opening wide to give the high idle. It sure is noisy though. It's sometimes hard to talk over lol.

It stays even when diving until it's warn enough, which is weird because I'll be driving down my street and it will be loud as ever, then just completely stop.

And on only some 3800's, when you shut it off, after a second it will make one more rush of air sound.
