Engine making horrible noise.

So I get off the highway yesterday and everything was fine. 10 minutes before I get home my engine starts making a light ticking noise, kinda sounds like someone is driving a crotch rocket bike in front of me. The sounds seems like it's coming from the supercharger, but I don't know >.<. Also On my way to work today when I'm traveling between 55-65 and start to slow down by taking my foot of the accelerator the cars starts to shake REALLY bad. Ugh I just got the car and not even 2 weeks later things are going wrong with it. Thanks guys I appreciate the help!

you may have a collapsed lifter(s)


the 2nd description sounds like a bad cv shaft having vibration, could even be something as simple as a wheel balance, also is when driving is your steering wheel remain straight or is cocked off to either side and you have to hold it? ive seen cars with bad alignments shake at highway speeds too

Oh jeez...I hope it's not a collapsed lifter/lifters. And The steering wheel does remain straight but it shakes like hell. The whole car just shakes. I thought it could be a cv shaft too because my car was making a clunking sound on the highway between the same speeds and now my car is just violently shaking.

If the whole car is shaking i would think it would have something to do with you're wheel's being out of ballance.

mine does it and its a exaust leak and my friends supercharger did the same thing and it was his couplings i think thtey were called its about a 30 dollar fix if so

Haha! I found out what the ticking noise was! It was the battery holder hitting one of the tensioner pulleys. I guess it had gotten loose and shimmied its way to touch the pulley. Now onto the vibrating...

is the vibrating just under decceleration or under braking?

Decceleration and sometimes during acceleration. under braking it's fine, no vibrating.
