First of all this is my first post and I'm new to this community and thus I apologize if I have posted this question in the wrong section. Recently I have aquired a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with a 3.8 L. Supercharged Engine (with 150,000 Kms). Recently the "Engine" light has come on. I checked the gas cap and it seemed loose. I re-screwed the cap on, however the light hasn't come off. I've probably driven 20-30 Kms since re-screwing the cap on. Wanted to know how long I should wait before I should get a diognostic on the engine (i.e. how long should it take for the light to come off).
