Hey Guy`s. 2001 Grand Prix 3.1 . I am a heavy equipment mechanic. So not a noob to twisting wrenches. Got a probem with my Cousins Ride.
Fresh tune up. Plugs , wires, AF and FF. Engine has 150,xxx miles. And is dumping a lot of fuel to the point it won start when wrmed up. I pulled the Air filter tube to the MAF and to the Throttle body off, and gas just poured out. Any known problems with these engines. I am leaning towards Fuel Pressure Regulator or maybe a bad injector? Any insight would help.. Thanks,,,I pulled the fuel pump fuse and when the engine started, it ran for about 30 seconds before shutting off, thats a lot of gas...
