Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

engine code P0300

when I started my car this morning, the check engine light started flashing at me. so I got my scanner out and checked the code. The dreaded P0300 came up. are there any common failures that cause this? dod is already disabled and has been for some time. plugs and wires were done like a year ago.

P0300 just means it's more than one specific cylinder. So using the live data scanner you have to watch all cylindera at once to see what ones are doing it the most.

AFM/DoD can be disabled but that doesn't mean the lifters aren't going to still cause problems. Without knowing what cylinders are causing the code it hard to comment on what the issue is.

Sh1t. Must be something in the air dude. Same thing happening to me. I've got 0300 and 0306. Check the scanner and look at the cylinder counts. Mine are mostly on 6 but I see a few misfires add up on a couple cylinders. I'm gonna do a compression check tomorrow but I have that bad feeling it's a mechanical issue. Hope you just have a bad coil or something.
