Guy was driving like a-hole in about a 09 or so Tahoe.
Caught him at a light.
He got a jump on me so I followed with screeching tires and all.
I caught up to him at about 50 mph and then he started pulling.
At 100 mph he had at least 2 cars on me. WTF
Caught up again at intersection and looked over to see a big gay smile on his face.
I gave him thumbs up.

I'm thinking 6.2L? Had to be!

BTW - In my stock 2000 GT. 6K on a rebuild.
 


Uhhh yeah...what's that...the Vortec 6200 (L92?)...lol @ rated 403 crank HP/415 TQ...funny guy...Da Hoe wins.
 
my brother has a Yukon, with a 5.3 and i must say it does move pretty good. hes just got a cat back, intake and a street tune.

he just picked up a stock cam and springs from a zo6 vette for free from a friend of ours, from what hes found out it adds up to 40 hp.
 


I was just cruising down the highway last weekend doing about 90, and I had a Tahoe pass me doing at least 5 mph faster than I was doing.. Figured he was close to topped out..

he could have had some goodies under the hood, i say this because of his grin lol

my 03 gmc with a 6.0 stock with 4.11 gears and 33's had some good power. miss that truck.
 


We saw a new tahoe who was all cutting people off bumper to bumper until he came to a light and we got next to him. At the light my bro took off slowly then hammered it at around 5. The other guy did the same and we were even until about 50 he started to pull just a little but then he let off. Dont know if it was a 6.2 but it was very very loud from the engine so it could could have been the 6.2 vortec but they do haul ass but the weight does slow them a little.

This Tahoe blew my doors off in a "quiet as a church mouse" fashion.
It may have even been the 5.3L according to what people have said.

I know, it sucks.
 
I think it was a 5.3l, i still dont think that 5.3 would have been able to pull on us but the 6.2 would be another story. All i know is i want a GTP so i can really beat the hell out of these cars, lol
 


i drove a bunch of duramax trucks from the early to mid 2000's and my 6.0 was faster, unless it had been tuned.

the newer ones i cant speak about personally but if it was real fast im sure it was tuned. that engine and trans is like almost 9 grand more.

i was shopping at gmc.com the other day for a friend and omg the price of a nice truck is silly these days. 50 and 60 grand real easy.
 
its all wheel drive, that has to have something to do with it, my 03 with a 6.0 felt faster, we never ran them, but you know when your stuff feels faster or not. it was lacking in the I GOT BALLS area.
