Electrical fire - what is the part?

My car apparently leaks such that it lets water in during a car wash (I saw water in the passenger floorwell while sitting in the carwash). I smelled burning electrical, then saw smoke, then the fuse blew. It's not the heater core - it was car wash water.

The source of the smoke (I have since replaced the fuse, it smokes behind the dash, then blows) is an electrical enclosure (looks like a PCM but I know that's not it) behind the glove box. I can post a pic.

What is this box? What does it control and more importantly, how much does it cost?

The curcuit that is blown is the radio circuit - my radio, fan controls, and dash lights don't work without this circuit.

Any help?

Here is the part - it's the gray plastic covered electrical module. It's about 7" long x 1" thick x 4" deep (pretty big).

What is it???
