elbow beside intake

what is the elbow on the passenger side of the intake called it looks like a spark plug wire boot , also any ideas on how to replace it i keep leaking coolant bad thanks

yeah, it's called the intake coolant elbow. .. they are plastic and crack, or the o-rings go bad.

I replaced mine when I pulled my intake off to replace the leaking Lower Intake Manifold gaskets, so I'm not 100% what the steps are to just replace those. But, if those are leaking, then you most likely need to replace your lower intake manifold gaskets as well. Mine went bad at 60,000 miles, so I'm sure yours are bad. It was a poor design my GM that they revised with a metal gasket, instead of cheap plastic.
