EGR Gaskets?

I am gathering parts needed to change out my LIM Gaskets. I can't seem to find whether I need a new gasket for where the EGR pipe connects to the LIM. It doesn't appear to be included with any of the LIM gasket sets. Is there one? And if so, do I need to replace it?

Also, I am still really confused about whether or not to use sealant on the LIM bolts and if so, what kind. I have found about 6 different answers to this question so far. I called the dealer and they gave me a GM # 12345382 which appears to be a threadlocker, medium strength, not a thread sealant. Other people have used RTV Blue, etc. HELP !!!! Anyone know the right answer? I want to do this job the right way so I don't have to do it again for a long time.

Thanks to all,

I replaced my LIM gaskets a few weeks ago. There was no gasket for that EGR pipe, that's probably why you can't find one. I used thread sealant on the LIM bolts. When you see the upper plenum gasket design, you'll realize that sealant or whatever there probably won't make a difference.

It really is a straightforward job, especially if you have a shop of sorts to do it in. Just start getting your hands dirty and you'll realize it's not too bad.

There is a video in the How-To section for a supercharged motor, but a lot of the same holds true. Realize that a lot of the things they pull off (ICM bracket, etc) only needs to come off if you're doing the valve cover gaskets and or rockers also, so only take off what's above the LIM.
