Ebay turbo on 97 grand prix gt???

Hi guys this is my first time posting on this forum. I have a 1997 grand prix GT all stock and I want to put a turbo kit on it. Im on a tight budget but will eventually upgrade the heads and cam injectors etc. My question is am i wasting my time if i get this turbo kit from ebay? I will only be boosting at 6-8 psi until I build up the internals. What do you guys think?? thanks for the input!

I wouldn't put an ebay turbo kit on any car that I remotely cared about.

Dont waste money on junk.

If your GT is your only car, dont turbo it, wait til you have enough money to do a good turbo build, along with tuning time.

Your best bet is to save up, and buy a kit designed specifically for the Grand Prix.

'97 GT?

You'll need a transmission before anything. Your 4T60E vacuum powered transmission shells on stock or modded N/A cars...without boost. Put your money there before snailing your GT. If you want a pretty damn good kit...get the Z3 bolt-on kit from ZZPerformance.
