Nope way to damn much for a gen 3 SC. Those go for around $100-150 if that.

Well like the one in eBay , no the H bar isn't removed. And it isn't removed on my gen5 either (which is intercooled)
is it beat on ? Is the one in eBay beat on? I bet it just has a new coupler.
Well the one in my garage never saw any pulley smaller then stock so I can honestly say it's not been "beat on"

Oh and u can run a gen 3 IC on a gen V SC. Difference is IC core isn't as big as if it was a gen V core.

Bolt holes line up? I did not know that.

On a gen 3, how much does all the recommended porting and polishing actually add?

Yup bolt holes line up

Most guys will either run a port n polish gen 3 or just go with a gen V

They're both pretty damn similar at the point but gen V can be had for pretty cheap and comes with the better coating on the rotor pack

Is it worth it to try to rebuild a gen 3? new bearings and what not. I know i would need a press for the bearing but is it more of a pain in the ass then its worth?

not real sure how much of a pain it is, never done it. if you buy a ported gen 3, it should come with new bearings and/or bushings.
