E brake line broke on 99 grand prix se sedan

Well, so my dad was driving and he noticed that the e brake was still on while he was driving and he tried to disengage it while driving...sadly he heard a loud POP in the trunk. Any ideas on what might be wrong with it and how to fix it? Most likely he broke the line but we dont know how to fix it! HELP!
