i know this is a dumb question and i am pretty sure on the answer but i want to be sure before i buy mufflers.

Is the stock exhaust for the L36 2.5 inches in diameter?

iirc it 2.25 or 2 1/4. same thing just worded different.

Yup. 2.25 to the Y pipe, then 1 7/8th to the mufflers. Doesnt need to be as large after the split.
