DRL's & Radio Display

Rod2003GT

Since I picked up my car a few weeks ago (03 GP GT) my Radio/Clock display has been intermittent then went out completely.
Changed the radio to another stock one and it worked for a short time and the display went out on that one.

Last night I decided to try and disable my DRL's. Pulled the 10A DRL fuse from the glove box side and what do you know....the radio display lights came on nice and bright.
Great I'm thinking...until I turn the car on and the lights are dim and an annoying non stop clicking sound is present.
Do some more research and pull the connector on the heatsink on the drivers side. No more DRL's but have auto on at night. Except no radio display lights.
Pulled the blue 8 pin connector for the DRL Control Module above the E-Brake. No clicking with the DRL fuse out but no radio display. Crazy ****.

Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I tried putting everything back together. No lights. Pulled just the DRL fuse and Radio display came on for a moment and faded out.
I'm thinking it is actually just the display bulb in the radio that's on it's last leg.
A stock radio with the EQ will be here tomorrow. (Theft Lock Disabled) It has a new display bulb installed so we'll see how it goes.
I did however completly disable the DRL's again and that part works great. Lights will only come on if I turn them on.

The replacement radio came in today. Still stock but has the 7 Band EQ.
Display is working just fine. This radio seems to have much more bass than the slightly lower option radio that was in it.
I'm glad it wasn't a more serious electrical issue like I had first though.
