Driving Roads in the States

I love to drive roads that aren't straight and challenge me and the ability of the car I drive.
I had a Ram 1500 a while back and I would try to drift it. I was successful a few times, but its unbelievably hard to do.
I built moderate drag cars in HS and loved going all out in the 1/4.
Now, handling and precision are what I enjoy most.

So, I found this site. Sorry if its a repost.

Wanna race around corners/drift id say go to a track, don't go endangering people.

I'm all for safety and doing it the right way at a track. However, the enjoyment of a car shouldn't be limited to the aesthetics or a particular engine, etc. Owning a car of a certain type is about passion, love and the feel of driving it for the journey; not the destination. So, if a particular road suits the journey, it's worth driving- even at the posted speed limit. I say this because driving in the old-fashioned way of a straight line doesn't bring out the joy of driving. It only serves to make the trip monotonous. Exploring new roads and scenery is what the car is about.
