Driver's Window won't work

I have a 2000 GT 2 door and today the driver's window stopped working, luckily in the closed position. I have only had the car for a few months (inherited from my deceased uncle and now has only 22K miles). Yesterday, I used the fog lamps for the first time...they also do not work any longer. I have read most of the threads and the regulator looks like the fix, but could the fog lamp issue be related? Any input would be greatly appreciated...thanks.
 


Doubt it. The regulator or motor is probably shot. The fogs like to burn out. First thing would be to open the owners manual and locate the fuses and check them. If good, then remove a bulb and check for power with a multi-meter. If power is present then replace the bulbs.

When you press the window switch, do you hear anything at all?

Also, if you do have to order a new regulator/motor assembly be aware that the ones for the 2-doors are different from the 4-door ones.
