Drivers Information Center on 1997 GTP

Ok, I'm lost! I was having trouble with my fuel gauge and Driver Information Center on my 1997 GTP. I replaced the sending unit on the pump and that didn't solve the problem. So, after reading several posts, I decided to replace the whole pump unit since I couldn't get anyone to say that the sending unit they wanted to sell me was for a 1997 GTP. So I found a 1997 GTP at PicknPull with an Airtex pump and I swapped the whole unit and my fuel gauge problem went away. I wish I could say the same about my Driver Information Center! When I first turn the key the TRAC an TIRE PRESSURE lights come on and go out. That's all that happens. The HUD works fine, I can even change to Metric using the ENG/MET button on the DIC but nothing works on the DIC. Any help would be appreciated. Can someone tell me where the DIC gets its info from? That would give me a place to start. I should also add that I even tried a different Instrument Cluster and DIC and that didn't help.

To my knowledge it pipes into the ODBII connector harness. I could be totally wrong on that though. I never knew our cars had TPS to gripe about the tire pressure. At least my 99GTP doesn't I'm pretty sure my 2000 GTP doesn't either.

Have you looked at any schematics? I have a membership with AllDataDiy.com it's like 12 bux a year or something. Totally worth it when you are trying to track something down.

If you google coupon codes you rarely have to pay full price for this site and it has a ton of knowledge on how to fix things in our cars the "GM" way.
