Driver wiper out of track?

Mirraco

One BadAzz GT Dawgg
Was driving to town, about 20 or so miles today, and my driver side wiper did this:

Really confused, as I can push it back to place, when car is in park and it works fine, get on highway/interstate going 60-65 and it does that after a couple wipes of the windshield. I fixed it when i parked, and tried it again and it did it again, ended up holding the wiper when i tried using the wiper blade, and then let go when it was supposed to go back down and it went right where it was supposed to go.

It's a 13mm. I used to check mine every couple months because I had the same thing happen at 75mph in a rainstorm. I removed the nut and reinstalled with a nylon locking nut to keep it from loosening. Don't go too tight so you don't stretch or break the stud.

I also use 20" wipers, they seem more stable and wipe better than the standard 22", which seems to flutter around and not wipe anything at highway speeds.

Good, just loose, ill have to tighten it down tomorrow sometime, was kind of a shock to me going about 65, hit my wipers, then it does that, i took a picture and sent it to some people with "wtf" as the text

Me too, I was doing 75 on the interstate and it was pouring buckets of rain when it happened a second time because I was scared of breaking something, so I didn't tighten it enough the first time. Ever grateful that I carry a stocked tool box and a socket set in my trunk, lol.

I just pulled over next time i had the chance, and pushed it back to where it should be, tried the wipers and it seemed fine, it happened again and at a red light you just see my window go down, hold the wiper, then the passenger side started going down and I let go and it went back down, probably funny if you seen it when its 20 degrees out.

If the wipers park in the vertical position it's most likely the parking tab on the wiper motor itself. There's a tab in the bottom pic that points up. Mine was bent down thus causing the wipers to keep going until it parked at the extended position.
