Driver side window won't go up...

My driver side window and my rear passenger side window won't go back up. I have jumped the wires (black-brown/yellow-blue) a few times to let the drivers side up, but now it does nothing. Tried changing the motor out yesterday and same result. I am going to swap out that motor for a switch today.

I am wondering if that's going to be the solution to my problems. Any other suggestions???

Broken regulator. While you have the door panels off to change out the regulators it would be a good time to lube up the felt window guides with some graphite spray. They get dry, the window sticks and then you have a broken regulator. Spray the crap out of them and work the window up and down a few times.

FYI the motors are usually fine. If you look you can find the regulator separate from the motor. I found mine on ebay. If you have to replace the motor and regulator together, before you put the door panel back on be sure to test the window and be sure the switch moves it in the correct direction. Some of the aftermarket ones I've run into are wired backwards. If this happens, just pull the wires from the harness that connects to the motor and reverse them in the plug and retest.

ok the switch worked for my driver's side window. So you think the regulator is the problem with the rear passenger window?

I have replaced the drivers side switch already on my GTP and can not afford to buy a new one till my monthly payday and was ready to do the two wire jumper to get the window up.
but after watching a couple of videos and seeing whats in the switch and seeing the two failure points, one being the spring and one being the top of the switch being wore down since mine was mostly on occasion getting stuck down then eventually would go up...till it didn't.

i figured the issue was the spring so i pulled the switch panel out and tapped the side where the drivers window switch was on and after maybe three taps it went up.

i am confident if it got stuck down again this would work again but i will not on purpose tempt fate and will leave it up but if you are in this position and need it up like i did try it....three minutes and a flat head screw driver

i could usually get away with the window down but unfortunately we are getting a bit of rain here in Albuquerque and i do hate a wet butt lol

I just had my front drivers side window refuse to go up today- there was a different feel to the switch, hard to describe, but basically it has no resistance when you press it- feels different than the other 3 window switches and hasn't felt like this before.

I figured maybe a spring popped out or something and disassembled the switch only to find a lot of broken plastic. Gotta buy the switch panel now, luckily found one for 34 bucks shipped.

Hoping the motor and/ or regulator isn't also failing, but will lube everything up to make sure there's no binding.
