Driver side- no heat, blending door problem?

98 gt with digital hvac controls, driver side blows cold air only, passenger side will change with temperature setting. Is this the blending door? there was a clicking coming from under the dash at certain temp settings, took the LH temp actuater off, this stopped the clicking, but still no heat. Does the heater core need to be cleaned, wouldn't the heat not blow at all if the core was bad? I dont know and am about to go nuts. This is my sons car, and he needs it fixed, thanks for any suggestions.
 


for what its worth, the left actuator was bad, there are small gears inside and one of them has cracked, we have good heat now, jus need to find another actuator, took it off the passenger side and positioned the door to be open until find another one. they are on ebay for $55, seems steep for a used one, hope this helps someone
 
Call Ed Morad, that's where I got mine. Think $55 is steep, price a new one. I think Ed was less than $55 but that was a couple of years ago.
