DP+Plog VS Headers

Ok soo this is my daily driver and i think a 3.4 pulley will be the smallest i want to go for a long time because from what i understand anything smaller and you want at least rockers or a cam and dont feel like doing those for a while. I know that SD Headers are cheaper and flow better than a 3" downpipe and Plog but i hear theyre a pain to put on. How much is that little bit of a headache worth? Would it really make that much of a difference between the two setups? I know when it comes to pulley dropping your looking for less to no KR and better flow which also favors the headers. Lets just say talk me into doing the headers because id rather go that route but hate things that are a pain in the arss

pshh, headers aren't that bad of an install. i have very little know how and i was able to do it with some guidance. if you can have a buddy that has a little know how, then you will be fine. the biggest thing you'll want if you're going with the 3.4 is the tune though...

Header install are a pretty straightforward install. Maybe this will help make up your mind.

What if you decide later that you want to go faster? Wouldn't it be better to do it right the first time just in case. ;)

I know doing it better the first time is best and ive heard the headers can be anywhere from a big pain to only slightly annoying. I spose in all honesty i probably will end up getting headers just because theyre cheaper but i was just wondering how much of a difference the two setups would have in lets say performance.

Don't get me wrong a plog, dp, rear ported mani setup can give you some decent gains.

For example:
My previous GTP put down 271hp/325tq with:
1.9 moded rockers
plog/ rear PEM, 3" dp with high flow cat
180 tsat
ZZP 1.0 PCM
3.4 pulley
SSIC

Just makes me wonder what I could have put down with headers.
