The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Installing a new rm double roller and speaking with the guy at zzp he says no need to chamfer the crank gear. Truly how true is that. Jus add the machined cover n thicker gasket and I'm good
OP, have you searched the topic? Is your crank gear pre-chamfered? Omg... And seriously, you ask the person selling you snake oil if it'll make your hair grow back along with make you rich!?!? Lol
lots of people dont do anything to the chamfer and are fine, other people are uncomfortable with the fit and chose to have it chamfered to match the stock crank gear. personally, I would rather have a proper fit and not have to worry about the offset that will occur if its not machined
you don't need machined cover and thicker gaskets just run double paper gaskets but use some gasket maker between the 2 layers thats what i did with mine and it works fine
I had GR8racingfool chamfer mine as my local machine shops wanted to know the metal grade and strength. I will also be running the machined oil pump cover and 1 genuine gm front cover gasket.
