Doors sticking shut

Hello Everyone

My wife is the owner of a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix Special Edition.
Yes, it's had a hard life but she loves the car and isn't interested in changing it.
Here's the problem:
The doors stick closed and often cannot be opened from the outside but open free and easily from the inside. The outside handles are the type that lay vertical and are positioned up the side of the window (it seems a pretty dumb design to me). The passenger door will open after a lot of time and patience but the drivers side hasn't opened in months!

So, is there something that may need adjusting and could any of you kind folks point me in the right direction to fixing this?
TIA
Mick.

adjust the linkages. ive done this on both my doors.

open door and remove the plastic cover in the doorjamb behind the handle
then locate the door handle linkage and then remove the clip holding it on there and unscrew the "nut" connecter thing and then re attach the connecter and clip to the door handle. its as simple as that

Hey iroc2

That was SO easy. Thank you so much. My wife is delighted to know she can now drive around with the side window fully closed LOL

You've just earned the site a small donation from myself.

Mick

thankyou for donating! great to have that!

i had my drivers side door handle break and then inadvertantly found how to do it lol so simple and easy but hidden... glad that everything is back to normal now!
