Door speakers for '02 GP GT

One of my door speakers blew in my GP today. In order to replace it is it best to run a speaker/tweeter combo like it came from the factory? Or is there a better setup to run? Or do I even need to replace the tweeters with the speakers? I don't have a factory amp (but do have OnStar), only an amp for my subs, so just looking for recommendations here, but would prefer to stick with Alpine.
