Door panel clips

Anybody know of a good door panel clip/fastener? I bought two packs of the Dorman brand GM panel clips at autozone and they break in the process of installing.

Yes, lined up. They are so brittle sometimes they break just putting them in the door panel. They mainly break where the clip fits in the panel which is fine as long as it happens when taking the panel off because it will save the panel.

I would take them back to autozone... They should work fine... try advance instead... autozone is poop. :th_winking:

Advanced is going to carry the exact same thing as Autozone.... Dorman.

Obviously.... Just saying in my opinion, advance is better... Cheaper prices, always have parts i need in stock for the most part, and the parts ive purchased from there are never defective or ****ty quality..

I used dorman panel retainers to install my trunk lid mat, none of them broke at all..
Maybe it was the ones you got?

go to clipsandfasteners.com and type in the part # 10153057 for 97 or 10408480 for 98-02 good quality stuf,I buy all my clips from there.

^^^^^^. Yes!!!! This is the place to buy from! Alot cheaper than autokrap

I've never had any problems with them breaking...??? Had my door panels off atleast 6times

I went to Autozone and had the same experience with the ones that they sold - I tried to slide the heads of the clips into the door panel and they snapped right off. The ones that were factory seemed aged, yet far more pliable than the Autozone ones - the new ones were breaking left and right. Are the clipsandfasteners ones more pliable?

Thanks!
