• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Does the '97-03 GTP require a PCV O-ring?

As I've been tuning up my newly acquired '99 GTP and trying to chase down a formerly-sporadic 0171 code, I got to changing my PCV valve. After doing so the code has gone from sporadic to constant and I can't help but wonder if I was supposed to replace an o-ring and failed to do so?

And I'm noticing that one of the GTP guides on Paul's site does specifically reference replacing "the spring and any o-rings or rubber gaskets" but I don't recall seeing any when I removed the valve I replaced.

yes, there is an o ring, it goes around the shaft of the thicker part of the pcv

I didn't replace mine, but I forgot to swap one over so not having it there was causing issues.
