Does Soundgate GMPD4 work with iPhone 3GS?

I've seen a few threads where people are saying the Soundgate GMPD4 works great with their iPod and that it even displays text and allows for steering wheel control functionality. However, I have not seen where people are using the interface for their iPhones and if it has the same functionality with the iPhone as the iPod. Can anyone give feedback on this. I don't want to spend the cash and time on this if it won't work with my iPhone.
 


Ive heard yes and no... Mite have something to do with which firmware you are on... Dont hold me to this either!! Lol
