Does anyone have tuning advice and a bin file for a stock 1998 Regal GS?

Hey guys im trying to flash a stock tune onto a pcm as a backup, but i can not find a stock bin file frickin anywhere.

Also is there any issues i should know about. I know there is different pcms, but i though 98-2000 were all the same, but in the hours ive been looking for a bin file I have seen posts suggesting that only one particular pcm with the correct Service# could be used. I have a spare pcm i was hoping to use but its service # is 9361735 which is different from the one i saw for the 1998 regal.

Ok i was finally able to find Scottydogs link to the tuning software dropbox. So i got the bin file. Im still curious of any problems i might run into and if i do need only 1 specifc pcm. Thanks guys

this is very easy if using DHP. the top row of the window the bin is in, theres a option to put the whole file back to stock. you can save "as is" and have a copy of it stock.

make a spare copy of your tune first, then turn the spare copy to stock.

and a pcm from a 98-00 car should work. dont matter if its from a na or sc model.

my first Grand Prix was a 99 gtp. I kept the pcm as a backup. when I would try to load tunes onto it, sometimes parts of the tune wouldn't get loaded, so i was never really able to use it as a back up for my 2001 gtp.

You can check which pcms will work in the same tuning folder you have access to. stuffed the pcm compatibility into the tuning guides and worksheets folder. It's an html that is labeled 97 to 05 pcm info.

If using HPT you can simply overwrite a same year/model pcm as long as you have the year unlocked. If you have only a vin unlocked you'd be best off having someone with a dhp do the write for you. DHP being unsupported etc, is fully unlocked.
