does a 3.4 pully require a smaller belt?

I bought the stock replacement one and put it on and the car feels much slower. I figured the tensioner would take up the slack am I wrong? Also its squealing off and on

It requires a larger belt, you have less power and squealing cuz it's slipping because the tensioner isn't pulled back far enough to apply enough pressure

I threw the stock belt back on and had no issues on a 3.4...if you don't have belt slip I wouldn't worry about it but every car is different...the safely modding thread I believe has the size chart

Let us examine this shall we? Pulley is .4" smaller diameter, power is lost, and belt is making noise...

And the question is should I use a smaller belt?

I'll just leave that there...
